How quickly can I arrange for service at home?
Having as much notice as possible helps us determine an ideal caregiver match; however, we can typically arrange care in 24 – 48 hours.
How much does the service cost?
Because each care situation is unique, we prefer setting up a complimentary in-home consultation to learn about your loved one’s needs, prior to providing pricing information.
Do you require a minimum number of hours and days per week in order to provide in-home care?
To provide the best level of care, we require a 2-hour minimum each shift. Our care services are available to meet the needs of your family – up to 24/7 care. The frequency of visits is flexible according to each client’s or family’s request.
What are my payment options for home care services?
We accept private payment via credit card or check. We can also help you with understand your long-term care insurance benefits.
Are your home care services covered through Medicare or my health insurance?
Home care is a benefit covered by many long-term care insurance policies. Medicare and private health insurance do not typically cover non-medical home care costs.
Is your agency licensed?
Stay Home Care is licensed by the State of Tennessee as a Personal Support Services Agency (License # L000000025330).
Are your caregivers insured and bonded?
Yes, all caregivers employed by our agency are insured and bonded. Additionally, we have general and professional liability insurance in place.
How are your caregivers screened?
Before being hired, each member of our team must undergo at least one (if not several) in-person interviews, comprehensive background checks (including criminal, DMV and drugs), a skills assessment, and provide professional/personal references.
What kind of training do your caregivers receive?
Upon hire, all of our care staff participate in a mandatory orientation. Ongoing training is also facilitated after a caregiver is placed with a client to ensure the caregiver is equipped with the skills necessary to provide exemplary care and customer service for that client’s specific needs. Training may include instructional lessons as well as hands-on training with specific equipment.

Yes, clients can receive services wherever they call home – their residence, nursing home, hospital, retirement community, or assisted living facility.
What if my caregiver is sick and cannot make it to my house?
Caregivers, like all of us, experience illness and emergencies, or take time off of work for vacations to recharge. In the event your caregiver is unavailable, we will provide a replacement caregiver to cover the shift.
